Sunday on the Coast

Thank you all for your birthday wishes for John, we both really appreciate them all! He had to work all day on his birthday, and that night he was too tired to do too much, so we took him out for the day yesterday instead. We stopped for breakfast/morning tea at a gorgeous little tree top cafe high in the mountains where these beautiful rainforests are. We walked around and did a little shopping at some of the pretty craft stores/art galleries, then went to lunch down on the beach, at a little restaurant over looking the marina. A wonderful day was had by all, and then we had to come home, get bags packed, and get John over to the airport. There's a big world wide Engineering Conference happening in Asia starting today, so he'll be there for that this week. Princess and I felt very sad and lonely already as we drove the hour long drive back home late last night. I remember the last time John was away overseas and I got terribly lonely, and started this blog! Oh I am soooooo happy that I did that, for now I have all of you wonderful ladies to keep me company while my One True Love is away this time too! I hope you are all having a really lovely weekend where ever you are, and that you enjoy your little trip around the coast with me here today. Love Amanda xx

Oh My, what gorgeous pictures! Sounds like you had a wonderful adventure for his birthday. I would love to visit a rain forest someday.

Hubby and I are so used to each other's company 24/7, it would most likely kill us both if we had to be apart a whole week. But he's retired and I am a work at home gal so that will hopefully never happen!

((hugs)) Rosie

Happy belated birthday to your Beloved! Sorry he is going away for a bit. It is very hard to be away from my Artie, so I know the feeling! Home for me is where even he is. Love, Esther

Good Morning Amanda,
Oh my, what some beautiful and breathtaking pictures. "THANK YOU" for sharing them with us. I'm sorry your one true love had to work on his Birthday, but I am glad yall had a good time on the Coast. I would so love to visit your Country someday. I can just picture the Rain Forrest' there. "THANK YOU" for taking us along on yall's adventure. I really did enjoy it very much. I'm sorry your one true love will be away this week. I know how you feel tho, because I hate it when my DH has to leave out and go get in that truck. He hates being away from us as well. He is hoping to hit the Lottery someday so he can stay at home with us. LOL. I know we couldn't get that lucky tho. Well just know that if you get lonely, you are more than Welcome at my place anytime. I will have some coffee and Chamomille Tea for us if you want to drop in. Take care my friend and have a great evening. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

I did enjoy my trip. Loved the pictures - the colors of houses, the tropical lush foliage - it's all like paradise!

Sorry your dear hubby has to be gone - I know what it's like. My husband travels quite a bit for his job and he was just gone for a full week in California.

It sounds like a lovely day. My husband was overseas all of last week, but it's much easier when he travels now that the kids aren't babies any more.

I enjoyed all these lovely photos. What beautiful scenery you have there.

The other evening my DH and I were at a choral recital at the local university; the featured guests were The Australian Voices, from Brisbane. Very interesting and thrilling choral music. Because they were from Queensland, I was reminded of you - the only person in that part of the world that I have "met" in a small way.

Enjoying your blog and photos immensely.
