Springtime, muffins & a BonBon...

Hi Ladies! Spring is in the air, well as from tomorrow it will be as September 1st is our official start of Spring! We didn't get much of a Winter this year, and the last few weeks have felt like Summer already. Princess and I have spent many an afternoon floating around in the pool cooling off even though technically it was still Winter. Such a shame, because I love Winter and look forward to it all year, and now it's over and we hardly even needed to put a jumper on!

Anyway, our garden is starting to bloom...

the flowers are popping out to say g'day....

new life is opening up....

and making the loss of Winter a little easier to take.....

So the weekend was spent pottering in the garden, swimming and baking. These bacon & cheese muffins I have posted about before but this time I changed the recipe slightly and we all agreed that they are now even better. I'll post the new recipe in my next post if anyone leaves a comment to say they're interested.

Now this little lady was the reason that LuLu was so lonely the other day. Mia BonBon had her monthly spa day. Last time we went we just got a puppy clip, but this time we decided to get her cut shorter for Summer since she's really feeling the heat already. This cut is called the New York Style Cut. lol Isn't she just gorgeous!

Don't worry, LuLu wasn't left out. LuLu got to have a lovely bath here at home and got lots of extra cuddles until Mia came home again. Then they both got their favourite treat....a delicious (to a dog at least) dried pig's ear each. Ick, I know but they love them!

When we went to collect Mia BonBon from the spa, we decided to also buy a couple of these muffins that the girls at the spa bake fresh each day especially for their furry clients. As you can see they are beautifully presented......

and taste as good as they look.....

apparently....

both Mia....

and LuLu were looking for more, so they obviously enjoyed every delightful bite!

and after a long day of pampering at the puppy spa.....

and a long day of waiting for Mia to come home......

our little ladies were totally wiped out. And for that, I for one was especially happy! lol

I hope you're all having a lovely start to the week, and for any Aussie girls who may read my blog............Happy Spring!

Lots of love........Amanda, LuLu La Rue and Mia BonBon xxx

Hi Amanda...visiting for the first time of many, I plan!!!! I enjoyed your puppy stories as my little rascal does the same!!! I agree, the weather has been bordering on summer already - hopefully doesn't lead to too many bushfires when summer actually arrives.
The recipe sounds delicious...I'm adding you to my feed list so I'll be checking for it later!!
have a great week

It seems to me, that those ladies rule the roost and keep you HOPPIN! They are so adorable. Their muffin looked quite good, but yours sounded better! I'd love to have the recipe, if it's not too complicated. I'm a simple kind of cook, or lazy! Happy Spring to you and have a beautiful week Amanda.
