Carnival of Flowers...

Thank you all so much for all of your prayers and good wishes for my darling, John. He is indeed feeling much better now, there's still swelling and until that goes right down he can't wear the plate that was made for him, but each day things are just that little bit better. After having him home resting for the last 10 days, we were all feeling the need to venture out of the house for a change of scenery. This weekend we decided to go for a drive to a town called Toowoomba because it is their annual Carnival of Flowers Festival. It's a week long carnival with music, rides, food, entertainment, and most importantly, the flowers! The entire town is full of springtime blossoms, and indiviual households enter into the spirit to compete for best garden display. We obtained a list of all the homes that had entered their gardens into the carnival and went off to view a few of them. Naturally I took you all along with us, but first I think we should stop at Picnic Point and wander through some beautiful flower beds to the Waterfall Cafe for a spot of morning tea. Shall we?
