Thank you all so much for all of your prayers and good wishes for my darling, John. He is indeed feeling much better now, there's still swelling and until that goes right down he can't wear the plate that was made for him, but each day things are just that little bit better. After having him home resting for the last 10 days, we were all feeling the need to venture out of the house for a change of scenery. This weekend we decided to go for a drive to a town called Toowoomba because it is their annual Carnival of Flowers Festival. It's a week long carnival with music, rides, food, entertainment, and most importantly, the flowers! The entire town is full of springtime blossoms, and indiviual households enter into the spirit to compete for best garden display. We obtained a list of all the homes that had entered their gardens into the carnival and went off to view a few of them. Naturally I took you all along with us, but first I think we should stop at Picnic Point and wander through some beautiful flower beds to the Waterfall Cafe for a spot of morning tea. Shall we? After you....

The next time I post I'll show you some really amazing gardens. Wow, there are some AWESOME gardeners out there! I hope you enjoyed today's tour, and I wish for you all a wonderful week! Love Amanda xxx

I'm so glad your hubby is doing better! The flowers were just gorgeous. It did my heart good to see them:) I love flowers, as it was my dear mother's passion and flowers are what brought my husband and I together. If you have time you can go to my blog archive and look under the April posts and it is titled "Mystery Bouquet".
Have a blessed day! Elena

My internet is still down, so just visiting from my sister's computer.
OH MY GOODNESS! POOR JOHN! All of those teeth knocked out and a piece of his jaw had to go too?!?!?! Holy cow!
I am so sorry Amanda!
I am glad that he is on the mend. I know he is in excellent hands with you looking after him.
Thank you for the beautiful garden tour. You have some flowers there that I have never seen before ... like those white daisy looking flowers with circular ends to the petals and purple centers. WOW.
That was so enjoyable ... as were the pictures of the treats and the cuppa. You know how much I enjoy seeing the every little everythings in Australia, and you never fail to include a little something for my eyes to feast upon. You are so brilliant like that.
Take care. You and John are in my prayers, along with your precious Princess and dear little Paris Fifi.
I am hopeful that my internet will be up again soon so I can post photos again. I really really miss it.
So glad your John is doing much better, Amanda! :o) What a pretty, happy and delicious post...thanks for sharing! Happy Days ((HUGS))

Hi Amanda!
Wonderful news to hear to are all getting out of the house for some fresh and beautiful scenery! Thrilled to hear John is doing so well, what a huge relief for you all!
You know what your other gift and talent is don't you....not only baking....but you are quite the photographer as well! You take the most amazing photos, I feel like I am right there with you as you are snapping away at all that beauty! See, you are a garden photographer! You don't need a green thumb for that, or, actually, you put your green thumb to use on your camera. It is a whole new way of gardening! You have a lovely eye for beauty!
Take care sweetie! Sending hugs and continued well wishes for your one true love, John.
So glad to hear things are looking up!! Those have to be some of the pretties flowers I have seen. You did a good job with the photos!
Many hugs your way,
Michelle
