A certain little lady is feeling the heat lately, being her first summer and all, so she decided to catch a quick nap under the air-con and went to sleep looking into the Christmas tree and dreaming, I assume, of a white Christmas.....

LuLu loves to lay up on top of the couch, that way she can keep an eye on everyone, and on that Christmas tree. Maybe she's keeping an eye out for Santa? I know I am!

This year I have used a lot of pine cones in my decorating. We don't have any pine trees around us, so my mum collects them from my brothers house for me when she visits him. I love pine cones sprayed with santa snow. Real snow would be better, but since we live in OZ and it's smack dab in the middle of summer right now, snow spray will have to do!

simple but effective I think.....

I bought this cute little Santa cottage recently for 50 cents at the thrift store. I just love it! Above the front door it says Dasher Inn......

back view of Santa's house.....

and then it opens up to reveal......

two little elves at the reception desk on the left, and Santa having dinner with another elf on the right. Isn't it just so sweet!

I got a new office table a couple of weeks ago, a roll top desk which is something I have always wanted. Here is the display that I've set out upon the new desk....

ok, I know this has nothing to do with Christmas, but since it's on the table top I thought I'd show it to you. My sister-in-law just got back from the UK and she brought these back for me. I think this teapot......

and this teapot are just gorgeous! It was such a lovely surprise to get these beautiful items from England, and I will treasure them always!

a close up of the top of my office table. I love that little plate, which I also got from the thrift store for $1. It says Deep in December...It's nice to remember...Special people like you. Isn't it just lovely!

My daughter thought it was pretty funny to decorate this little tree with Santa's clothes strewn about randomly like this as if he's thrown his clothes off in a hurry at the end of a long night delivering presents......lol teenagers!

This little NOEL reindeer was just too cute to pass up when I saw it last Christmas. I'd have to say that he's one of my most favourite Christmas items. So cute!

As you've seen, our little cottage is decorated in traditional Christmas colours in the main part of the house, but in our bedroom I have gone for a little touch of pink......

When I saw this tiny pink tree on sale at Borders end of season sale last year, I bought a few of them since they were reduced from $12 down to $3 each. I thought that they would go perfectly in the bedrooms. Do you think so too?

the baubles on the tree were bought just recently at Kmart, and I think they match the tree really nicely. It's lovely to wake up each morning and see this little touch of sweetness happily sitting there. Gets the day off to a wonderful start!

and lastly, here's a picture of part of my kitchen window sill. It's a really long window, so I couldn't get the whole thing in the shot, but you get the idea....

I hope you've enjoyed part 2 of the tour as much as I enjoyed putting it together for you. Before I go, I just wanted to congratulate our darling daughter on her award. On the weekend Princess had her dance concerts (2 of them) and at the end of the night when the awards ceremony was held, our daughter received a trophy for High Achievement in dance! Congratulations sweetheart, Dad and I are so proud of you and love you so much!
Ok ladies, I'm off! Wishing you all a wonderful week my dear friends.........love Amanda xxx

What a great job she must have done...I bet you are smiling!!!
Your house looks so festive and again I have to say you would never know it was summer at your house. We had a dusting of snow today and maybe alittle more tomorrow. We are missing the big storms and I am happy about that!! Dianntha
