Give away winner!

Firstly let me thank all of you who entered my give away for your lovely birthday wishes. Here is one of the cakes we had for my birthday that I would love to share with you all too, so please help yourself my sweet friends! I have loved reading all of your stories and have too many favourites to choose from, so I have left the picking of the winner up to my Precious Princess, and being 15 years old she's a sucker for a romantic tale (just like her mother! lol). The winner my Princess chose was.........., just email me your address and this lil toile bag will be jetting it's way from OZ to you soon!

On another note, I wanted to thank those of you who have emailed me with concerns for my family's safety with the bushfires burning in Victoria and the flooding that's been raging for weeks in North Queensland. My family is safe where we are. The flooding started while we were up in North Queensland on our recent holiday and we were very lucky to get out when we did as we were flooded up to our ankles at the time. Just after we left the area the roads were cut off and it got pretty scary up there, but it is the complete heart break and devastation that our Victorian brothers and sisters are going through right now that is on my mind and heart. The aussie spirit is strong though, and through a strong sense of mateship we will rally around to support one another any way we can. Your prayers are truly needed and very much appreciated. I also believe that donations can be made through the International Red Cross if you are in a position to help..........thank you.

Love Amanda xxx

****editing to add that for Australian residents if you buy your groceries at Coles on Friday 13th Feb they will donate a percentage to the bushfire relief, and if you buy your groceries at Woolworths on Friday 20th Feb they too will donate a percentage to the bushfire relief.

Those are lovely pieces. Our first wedding gift was a soup toreen and bowls. They were made by a dear friend of the family who is a potter. I'm glad you had a great birthday. The cake looks delicious.
