I'm sorry I was MIA yesterday and didn't post. Friday's are usually hectic, but yesterday I spent half the day running around like a headless chook! Precious Princess had her usual dance class yesterday afternoon, but they then had an extra costume rehearsal for an up coming performance. Costume time sends shivers down my spine! Lovely to look at, a nightmare to organize!
Anyway, today we were home all day, so I decided to do some baking for tomorrow. On Sunday we're going to visit some dear old family friends in the country. Naturally I jumped at the chance to drag out my favourite picnic basket to fill with home baked goodies for visiting!
I made carrot cake cupcakes and a coconut cake. One True Love has already made a dint in the cupcakes, holding him back from them would be like trying to hold back the tide! That's ok though, I did make 2 dozen...........lol
Then I spent some time relaxing, reading a magazine. Do you like the new bedding? I thought it looked so Spring fresh! There's nothing nicer than climbing into fresh, crisp, clean sheets at the end of a long hard day, is there?
Do you like my bargain picnic basket? I picked this little beauty up in perfect condition at a thrift store for $4. I do love to find a bargain! Usually I keep it next to "my chair", and it holds all my current magazines. A pretty way to have them handy, yet out of the way (there are many!) I've also posted a photo of my chair and the lovely "Swagman" lamp that sits next to it. I love this area, each night I sit here with my laptop on my lap and say hello to all of you!
Now I must say a big thank you to Shannon, who has nominated me for the Nice Matters Award! I can not believe that I've won it twice in one week, and yet gone 35yrs with out ever winning anything! Thank you very much Shannon, it was a LOVELY surprise!
