Autumn Skies

My spirit is feeling lifted and flying as high as this kite now that the cooler Autumn weather has finally arrived! For those of you who've been reading my blog through out our long, loooong HOT Aussie summer, you will know just how excited I am that there is a chill in the air! Yippee time to break out the fluffy slippers and rug up to my eye balls in soft warm PJ's. Oh what an attractive sight I must surely be! hahahahaha....heheh....humph.

Hey Amanda
I can totally identify with you, I remember going through the long, hot summers in South Africa and wishing for Autumn, wanting to just feel cool and to wrap up and get cozy.
Its such a relief when you experience the first lovely cool day!
Now - I search for a ray of sunshine, its the total opposite!

Hi Amanda,
I'm so glad you are finally getting your beloved autumn weather. How funny is it that one of us should be longing for the cold while the other pines for the warmth? Enjoy those toasty warm PJ's!

Mary

The first thing that popped in my head when I say your photo was.... (pretend I am singing)....."Let's go fly a kite.... up to the highest height....."

It is nice to break out those comfy sweaters and throws after a long, hot summer. Right now....for me...it's let those piggies wiggle in the sandals weather.....Yipee!

((hugs)) Rosie

Enjoy those fluffy slippers!
I'm glad things are cooling down for you there.
Here the dogwoods are finally in full bloom, and I'm ready for "open window" weather- and longing for that trip to the beach!! I have put away all of the old heavy winter wear, and replaced it with shorts and tees!
I did keep my old fluffy robe out, though! I'll use it all the way through August!!
Have a lovely day,
Hugs,
Pam

Go ahead and snuggle in for comfort. I'll be thinking of you all warm and cozy.

It's 63F here right now. Just a nice bit of chill in the early mornings.

Hi, Sweetie...it is STILL hard for me to think of YOU going into Fall and us into Spring...I do hope you enjoyed your summer and I know you will enjoy Fall. Do winters get very cold there...I've forgotten.
Be sure to make something sweet to eat, take a pic and send it over to Cielo at House in the Roses for the carnival. I would love to have a dessert recipe from my Aussie friend!!
hugs, bj

Pour yourself a cup of hot cocoa and snuggle up in a blankie. I know that feeling too. It's fun to feel the cool crispness in the air.
Enjoy Amanda Dear, Kathi

Hi there
although, we don't have the best Summers in Yorkshire, UK ;) I love Autumn, cosy pjs, long walks, hot chocolate and the leaves on the trees giving a stunning firework display before blowing away in the wind - magic

I would just love to send you a carefully packed cooler filled with snow, from just outside my door. I can relate to your longing for fall. When we finally get summer (whenever that is) it is extremely hot. At some point I get excited thinking about cooler temps. Enjoy your sweaters, slippers & warm drinks. Stay warm!

I know the feeling! Every fall I'm so excited to bring out the warm sweatshirts and flannel pjs. However, in my neck of the woods summer is almost here and we opened our pool today. Enjoy the cool autumn weather.

Take care
Michelle

Well I can imagine because fall is my favorite time of the year! I do look forward to spring and summer though after the winter. I need a little sunshine right now!

But there is nothing like that cozy feeling of fall, knowing you can sit by the fire again!

Are they cupcake jammies?

I wanna see!

I'd also love to see some photos of Fall in Australia. Pretty pretty please!

Hey ... was that a "yes" on me using your pillow "pattern" if I get a chance to sew before my party on Friday? Wouldn't want to use your idea without asking. And I don't have adorable cupcake fabric ... but maybe I could throw together something with what I have in my closet.

Let me know!

We are finally getting a bit of sunshine today after many cloudy overcast ones. It is very windy though.

I just wanted to say again how sorry I am about your friend. Hugs, Kathi

Dear Amanda, I can't imagine how you must be feeling right now, with your sweet friend being hit again with cancer. You have been away for awhile, and I am guessing it's because you just don't feel like posting at a time like this, or you are visiting your friend.

I just want to say again I'm so sorry for this news that you've recently heard.

I will pray for your friend and her two children. They are so young.

It can be overwhelming coming back to blogging after being away. One feels like they must get back to everyone...or else! We as bloggers feel like people will not come back cause we've been away. Not true not true. We'll all keep coming back, and you don't have to do make-up time either. Bless you sweet Amanda.

Good Evening Amanda,
I am so glad you are finally getting some cooler weather. It's been pretty nice around here. During the day I run the A/C and at night I turn the heat on. LOL. I am so dreading our hot summer months. The humidity we have along with the heat makes it almost unbearable at times. We have also had our fair share of rain this Spring as well. It rained 3 times here on Friday and it's rained some again today. I think this coming week is suppose to be a bit more dry. I love the bleeding heart plant. I have no idea where it got it's name either. I'm sorry to hear about your friend's cancer coming back. I will be praying for her and her Family during this time. I will also lift you up as well as I know your heart must be breaking for her. I put up a new post this morning and even have some pictures on there as well. Life has just been so busy around here lately. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

OK, that's it! I am sending out the search party! St. Bernards ... out you go with mugs of hot toasty cocoa. Amanda is probably out there in the woods somewhere, enjoying the fall leaves and taking fabulous pictures for us, her blogging friends and fans.
Bring her back!
And don't forget her camera either!

We miss her!!!
