A sneak peak......

Hello.....ello.....lo......ooooooo (echo echo echo).......anyone out there??? lol G'day, I'm back! I had to take a few days off to re-group. I just can't stop thinking about my friend and what she's going through, and it's hit home really hard for me because I too fought cancer a long time ago (childhood illness, born with bone cancer) and beat it. Just thinking of what my friend is going through truly breaks my heart, and I really appreciate all of your prayers and concern for her and her dear family. It really makes you sit back and look at things and realize that life really is way too short, and that there are just some things not worth worrying about. So what did I do to help take my mind off of life's sad times? I threw myself into that home reno project that I was thinking about doing a few months ago! Here's just a little sneak peak of what's been going on. This weekend should see the last of 2 rooms done, then I will show you the finished look.........and I have a few questions to ask, advice needed as to what you would do with a couple of areas. Ok, I am going to start making my way around to visit with you all before I head for bed. My cold & flu medication should be starting to kick in soon and make me a little whoozy, but until that happens, I will pop in to say g'day. I've missed you all so much and want you to know that I have been thinking of you and appreciate your friendship so very much! See you soon..............love Cupcake xxx zzzzzzzzzz

We have missed you so!!!!

I am like that too.....sometimes when I am sad and worried and just find myself sinking lower and lower.... it's best to do a project that requires physical labor.....a project to focus your energies on, if only for that space of time.....it gives relief.

I am excited to see your new rooms.

We will always be here to come back, too. ((hugs)) Rosie

There she is! So good to see you again! When I'm very sad I too tend to "nest". I do NOT like to paint but I have been known to get out the painter's tape and rollers and start in on a room! My laundry room went from white to a beautiful turqoise last summer! LOL!
Can't wait to see the finished product!
As always, your friend is in my thoughts and prayers. Take care of you, sweet one!

Cupcake!!!

I am so glad you are back. That's amazing, but not unbelievable in the LEAST, knowing YOU, that you beat bone cancer as a child. I'm sure you have lots of good advice for your friend. I just said another prayer for her just this very minute!
Can't wait to see what you are doing with the rooms. Was that the FUNNY papers that I saw wrapped around the box that doesn't want to be painted?
I would SO LOVE TO SEE your funny papers in Australia! I wonder if any of yours are the same as ours in America.
Hope that cold/flu goes away soon. Cold weather does have it's little cold germ buddies that seem to go along with it. But this too shall pass.
Good your back. I pop in often while you are gone, and will continue to do so while you do your project. I am working on some rooms here too ... but I am working on dejunking.

OH OH OH OH OH OH!!! CUPCAKE ALERT! CUPCAKE ALERT!!

I just visited a blog that is selling the most ADORABLE little knitted cupcakes and they only have one of the two left.

I thought you must SURELY want to know about this fabulous find, so here is the blog spot:

http://summerbythesea.blogspot.com/

Run run run run run!!! (I told her I would alert you to this fabulous find ... she will be expecting you. I hope that was the right thing to do! ... however I didn't promise her or anything ... so don't feel obligated. LOL)

(p.s. I hope you know I would have bought it for you if our own budget weren't so tight. I have made a pact with myself: NO SHOPPING til our bills are caught up. NONE. Just groceries and gasoline. LOL.)

Hi
I just discovered your blog...and so did my German Shepherds! I kept putting the cursor on the little black cat. They sat there in front of the speakers and cocked their heads back and forth every time I made him meow...too funny! They knew it wasn't one of their kitties!
Lovely blog!

Oh sweet Amanda, I had a feeling that is why you were gone. I would do the same thing. I'm so sorry you fought cancer too, and so thankful you survived it. What would blogging be without Amanda? It would be missing fun and excitement from Down Under!!

I love your project and can't wait to see photos of the completed job.

I will keep praying for your friend. Pat on the back and a hug, Kathi
