Unbelievable!

Last night we got hit by a quick but intense storm, and for the first time in about 7 years, we got hail! Naturally being the faithful blogger that I am, I wanted to show you, so I had to get out there in the action. Do you know that hail actually stings your skin? Don't ask, just trust me, it stings. See the devotion I have for you all, risking life and limb for you. Well risking dignity in front of the neighbours at least! lol We didn't have any damage to our property, nor were we one of the 18,000 homes left with out power, so we were really lucky. Praise God. Ok, well it's been a very long day and night for me, running all over town today then taking Precious Princess to her dance classes tonight, so I'm going to head for bed. Tomorrow I have lots of things to show you! Good night all, love Amanda xxx

I had to smile at the idea of you going out in the middle of the night to get these photos ~ what a dedicated blogger!

We often get hail in summer here in Canada and sometimes the hailstones are the size of golf balls! Glad to hear that you were uninjured.

I've enjoyed my visit 'down under' and I see that we have quite a few friends in common.

Ok Amanda.....pretend I am your mother. "Don't you ever go out in a hail storm again!" It can hurt you, you know, sweetie!

Ok. I'm not mad ...... but you take care of yourself! We don't want any booboos for our Australian lass!

Amanda, I'm so glad you are ok.
I'm with the others...you be careful, and take care of yourself!!! :)
We've been getting some of that stuff over the last few weeks, as Winter turns into Spring. I do ok with those storms until the hail begins to fall, then I get nervous!!!
Hugs,
Pam

You're right, it does sting your skin. And, it can hurt much worse the larger it gets. No more risking injury, okay?

But, you're right. The pictures are way cool.

Wild weather! About 45 minutes north of us there was snow yesterday. It was April 14 and this is South Carolina!!! Strange.

My husband always laughs when I get the camera out to record something for my blog. "THAT'S blog-worthy?" he always asks.

Sweet dreams, Amanda!

Wow...Growing up in Texas, we would have, and we mean literally baseball-sized hail...now that was incredibly dangerous to be out in!! Hail of any size is scary!!

have a wonderful day!

Hi Amanda,

I'm catching up today. Yep, we get hail quite frequently. It's usually a sign that conditions are right for a tornado (oh the joy of living in the South in spring!).

Savanna is doing surprisingly well after having all her wisdom teeth extracted. Thank you for asking! She was a bit loopy the first day but had very little pain which is the exact opposite of my husband (he had all of his taken out last month). He was in pain for days! Yikes - It's my turn next to have my wisdom teeth out!!!

Amanda Amanda Amanda . . .

THIS is what I love about you. You think about us even when you aren't at your computer!

I love that you raced out to get us photos of the hail, and they are GOOD PHOTOS too!!! I can really see them! Wow!

I always want to pick up a few off of the ground and eat some.

About seven years back? we had such a hail storm that the photos a few cities away looked like the houses and yards were covered in snow. And it STAYED AND HAD TO BE SHOVELED UP. It was just that cold. Now why couldn't it have snowed? That's what I want to know. Cold enough for hail NOT to melt, but not cold enough for snow?

wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong.

Oh. And pretend I'm not your mother but your fellow journalist: now get out there and take some photos of some lava or something! Cuz I wanna see anything you've got out there.

But by all means, stay safe!!!

oh yes. And I am DYING to see your hand sewn crafts! I check back like six times a day to see if the photos are up yet. Pweeeeeeeze?

Wow Amanda, I'm glad you were all unscathed. Hail? Amazing...does it really sting? Foreign concept for me because it's mostly sunny here. Hope you have a good night.
Lots of Love,
Dy

Crazy weather this year for a lot of us! We had a crazy hail storm yesterday with pea sized hail! It is always fun to me, I guess because it is kind of rare and it comes and goes so quickly!

Have a cozy evening!
