Some goodies to show & tell...

Good morning Ladies! I am so happy that you all enjoyed coming along with us on the drive into the Hinterland last weekend. That Christmas shop was awesome and I was so excited to share it with you all, so I'm really glad you loved it too! While we were there I did buy quite a few things, but since they are for Christmas I have put them away with all my other Christmas items and I'll show you nearer to Christmas when we all start decorating for the holiday season. Am I a tease or what?! heheh...What I can show you though are some other lovely things I bought that day that aren't Christmasy, and some beautiful things that arrived in the mail.....

A lovely lady from the USA that I've met through blogging, Leslie from 'Saquaro Chick', sent me some absolutely wonderful American decorating magazines. Leslie emailed me and said that she had bought herself some new magazines and once she started reading through them, she thought that I would love them too. Oh Leslie sweetie, you were right! They are fantastic! I was thrilled to see as I was flicking through, that there was an article about Tina from 'Cherry Hill Cottage' and her stunning home! I love her home and blog! American magazines are really hard to get over here and very, VERY expensive, so I am tickled pink Leslie that you blessed me in this way. Thank you!

The next thing that arrived in the mail was this gorgeous little throw. I subscribed to my favourite Aussie decorating magazine and this was their gift to anyone who subscribed before a certain date. The throw is a nice size and double sided. I'll show you both sides.......

Side one.......isn't it gorgeous?!! I just love it!

Side 2.......I love this side too and it goes perfectly with our new bedroom curtains! How lucky was that?!

I'm sorry Paris Fifi. Is Mummy disturbing your sleep by taking all of these photo's? You do realize don't you Paris Fifi that this is Mummy's bed and not yours? What, you're shocked? You believed it to be yours, and you just allow me to perch on the end of it to sleep for the night? Well, you could be right......lol

I got this new front door mat when we went for that drive on the weekend to the Hinterland. Luckily I took a photo of it straight away because our cat has since christened it by scratching it to death sharpening her claws! ARGH! Pets.......I love my babies, but they drive me a little mental at times! lol

Then I bought this sweet little chair cushion for our bedroom....

A close up of the chair cushion and all it's lovely hats. My poor husband, luckily he's a man who's very confident with-in himself, because being surrounded with all the femininity that Precious Princess and I fill the house with...well it's enough to make any man uncomfortable, but not my husband. He'll happily prop himself on up any delicate cushion to watch the football!

Now this little night light really stole my heart. Here it is during the day turned off.......

Here it is at night turned on. So pretty I think!

So that's my little show and tell for the day. I have to get busy now cleaning the house, do laundry, and prepare a delicious meal to welcome home my One True Love who's been away for the week on business. Happy Friday everyone, I hope you have a wonderful day and a fabulous weekend! See you all soon........Love Amanda xxx

I love all the super things you have posted in this blog. Especially the reversable throw! Yes, American mags are also unaffordable here in SA but they have the best cottage ideas. I also greatly admire Tina of Cherry Hill Cottage. Have a good day! Love Eleanor
