A spot of shopping...

This afternoon Precious Princess and I went shopping for groceries, but we got a little side tracked along the way..............

Princess picked out a new pair of bikini's for herself to wear this coming Christmas while we're away on our Summer holiday. She's been after a pair of Aussie flag bikini's for ages, and finally she found some! My bikini days are loooooong over, thank goodness. I know, I know. I can hear your sighs of relief from here! lol

I stopped at the florist and treated myself to a lovely bunch of cheerful yellow flowers. I think they are Lilliams? Lillams? But I'm probably wrong! Sounded something like that. I just thought they were happy looking!

Flowers and beautiful smelling candles to brighten a cold lonely Winter's night (My One True Love is away on business once again).

Do you remember this small round silver plate/pedestal stand that I got from the thrift store last week? Today I bought some rocks and a delicious smelling candle to go with it. I love candles and rocks and glass and silver together. Something about that combo just really appeals to me!

Close up of the pedestal stand, rocks & candle.....these and the flowers went a long way to brightening my afternoon! I'm easily pleased. lol

I hope you are all having a lovely start to the week ladies. See you soon! Love Amanda xxx

Hi, Amanda,
I love the bikini, but alas my bikini days are long over, too.
I keep forgetting to tell you how much I love your widget cat. He is so cute! I always have to play with him and make him purr and meow. I'm easily amused. I may have to get one for my blog.
Hugs, Susan

Bikini--well, my daughter would wear it! Very patriotic! Hope you are having a great day!

We are sisters of the heart! I, too, just love putting something elegant with something more rustic. The silver, rocks, and candles is right down my alley!

The word "bikini" has been out of my vocabulary for a long, long time! HA! Maybe when this new baby girl is born she will grow to have the figure I once had. It's well hidden now!!

((hugs)) Rosie

Oh, to even imagine being able to fit into that suit. ;-)

I love the combinations you created. The flowers would cheer me, too.

Very nice. I have some rocks and a pedestal plate - I'll have to find a candle to put in it. Great idea.
Seems so funny that you are in a different season than us over here in the USA. But it's fun to hear about it. I also loved the pix in your blog previously of the countryside at winter.
Hugs.

Love that bikini Amanda. Are ya sure you won't model it for us? My bikini days were over the day I gave birth, I think. Well, I'm so glad we get new bodies in Heaven. Arn't you? Hugs, Kathi Oh, I almost forgot. Amanda, I'm giving you an award.

Hey Amanda! I think those flowers are called Day Lillies here in the USA. At least in the south. They are very pretty! People grow them in huge bunches! Lots of greenery and lillies. So pretty!

Still love your blog!
