A little retail therapy.....

might be bad for my husband's wallet, but good for my soul! heheheheheeeeee! Actually I got some great bargains when I went shopping and thrifting the other day, and here's what took my fancy that day...

A new clock for our bedroom. I love the French country look of this clock, and not bad for a sale price of $5 (not thrifted, but retail).

A close up of the clock face. Another reason I just had to buy it is because of the name and spelling of Claire as that is my middle name!

Some of the items on my dutchess are newly thrifted......

A close up of one of the glass Angel candle holders. I got the pair for $4. The white pitcher with flowers on it in the background was also thrifted for $3.

Just to show you the Angel's wings a little better.

I fell completely in love with this gorgeous little bell. Isn't the butterfly just the sweetest little thing?! Thrifted for $4.

This hook was found at yet another thrift store for $2. I thought it was perfect to hang in the kitchen since my favourite things to bake are orange cakes!

A new soup tureen found at the markets a few weeks ago. The lady wanted $10 for it and it was filthy. I said no thank you. She asked me what I thought it was worth. I offered her $4, and she jumped at it. My One True Love thought I paid too much, but I love it! lol

I decided that I wanted a nice new big soft white bag for the summer, so Princess and I went handbag shopping. She chose a lovely little bag for herself, and I got this one. I love it! I have to confess to having a SLIGHT handbag obsession. One day I will have to get them ALL out and show you.......if I dare! lol

Then I decided that it was time that I bought a new Bible. I have had my other, well loved, Bible since my school days and wanted a new one. There's this wonderful Christian bookstore that's just opened, so off I went......and here is my beautiful pink suede covered Bible......

*sigh* The Word....it's beautiful.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend my dear sweet friends! See you soon.........love Amanda xxx

Amanda, I love all your new pretties. You are a super shopper.

I would like a new Bible, too. I don't know why I don't just go by myself one.

Hi Amanda! Love your clock and that tureen! I have a Bible that looks really similar to yours. Mine is called a travel Bible because it's little and light. Yours is probably a lot bigger. Yes, I agree, the Word is beautiful!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

What wonderful thrift finds!!! You really have a flair for finding really great things and a special place to put them.
I love your glass angels especially.
The Bible is great - you'll enjoy reading it every day and underlining special verses. I use red underlining for verses that are meaningful to me and blue for verses that are good to remember for others.
Hugs.
