Beautiful Bay...

(please return to the top of this post after reading and click on the title to take you to see the gorgeous water front homes along the bay from an earlier post).

Hi all! I hope your week is off to a great start, and that there's something happening each day to make you smile. I did quite a bit of smiling myself today, and a little bit of thrifting too! Sometimes I go for a drive down to The Bay, visit some relatives, do a little thrifting, and have a delicious fresh seafood lunch by the water. If ever I'm feeling down or overwhelmed, then off to the bay I go, for it always helps to clear my head and feel better again. I think I love this little old part of town so much because my mum grew up here, and I still have a lot of family here, so even though I have never lived here it feels like home.

After parking my truck, I started strolling down the street........

popping into each and every thrift store I saw (and there are heaps!)......

as you can see, the water is just over the hill from the thrift stores.....and that's where I headed to have lunch.

After lunch I took a drive around and took some photo's of some homes. Last year I did a post from another day spent down at the bay, and included photo's of all the gorgeous million plus dollar homes on the water (I'm attempting to add a link to that post during this post, so hopefully it will work. I am no good at adding links. Sorry!) Yes! The link works! Just click on the title of this post and it will take you to a post on the gorgeous homes from another post. Yay! lol

I really liked this big old house.......

I love the way the french doors are thrown wide open to catch the autumn breeze off the water, blowing the lace curtains ever so gently......

beautiful old homes that caught my eye.....

love the big verandah's on these old Queenslander homes....

and a cute little cottage snuggled in between....

well loved old homes......

my mum told me that this used to be a privately owned home when she was little,we're not sure if it still is now , but gosh it's lovely!

a nice quiet place to sit for lunch away from the hustle and bustle.....

where I could look out to the water and daydream for a while......

Wishing you all a lovely week full of wonderful daydreams too.....love Amanda xxx

I just love it when bloggers take us on trips like this - thank you! That is a pretty little spot you have down at The Bay! Those homes with the verandas on the upper floors are wonderful...that is my longing for a porch speaking.

Oh, and I also LOVE your new purse from the thrift store..what a fabulous print it is fashioned from. It's even a fabulous piece of art as well as a handbag.
