To help myself along a little I've made some cinnamon and maple pikelets...
topped with melted butter. I'll worry about the diet later, right now I need warm comfort food......
Also, wanted to show you this sweet little butter dish I picked up at the thrift store a couple of weeks ago for $3. Now that it's winter here, I can safely leave the butter out in this glass butter dish. If it were summer, this would be melted all over the counter. Not good! Just another reason I love winter (except for the getting sick part!).....
I've always wanted a butter dish. My sister has a gorgeous engraved sterling silver one, but I'm happy with my little glass cheepie that I can pop in the dishwasher with out a worry!
So now I'm going to curl up with a couple of good books I got from the library, a pot of tea and some of these deliciously hot sweet cinnamon and maple pikelets...
I hope you have a great end to the week and I'll see you in a couple of days when my head and chest aren't feeling like they're going to explode. Until then, take care and have fun!
Love Amanda xxx

Oh Amanda... get to feeling better soon. Grab that miss lulu and bring her with you to cuddle. Nothing like a warm cuddly dog when you don't feel well.

Amanda,
Hope you feel better real soon! Take care of yourself and snuggle up with your book and a cup of tea.
Feel better, sweetie! I love the books you are reading, too!
Those look like pancakes. Batter you pour in the pan and flip when they bubble ... pikelets, eh? But how do you say it? pick L its? No. It must be PIKE lets, yes?
I do hope those antibiotics make you feel better in a jiffy.
I'll look forward to your healthy return.
Hope you feel better right away! Jake says "Hi" to Lulu. Your pikelets sound like American pancakes. We put maple syrup and butter on them or butter and jam or all kinds of things.
Hugs, Susan
Feel better, sweet Amanda.
Dear Amanda, I hope you get well soon! The books and comfort food sound wonderful. Gets lots of rest dear friend.
Poor girl, hope you get to feeling better soon!!
Hugs,
Michelle
Hope you're feeling better soon. I know you will enjoy those books. I have read others from that author. I loved them.
Glad you are on the way to feeling better Amanda. I like your idea of comfort food - those pancakes/pikelets look scrumptious. I'll come to your house any day for those (if only that were possible)!
