It's been raining for 5 days straight here, which is very, very rare. Usually we don't see rain for months on end and have recently suffered the worst drought in Australian history........so far. I have to say, I have enjoyed every moment of the rain. I love it when it's cold and rainy. Well we've had the rain, but not the cold. In fact it's hot and steamy. Very tropical, sultry weather. So today we're home with the air/cons running, we're doing a puzzle all together, watching movies, and of course eating! I found a recipe for a healthier banana cake than I would normally make, and tried it for the first time today. It was delicious! I hope your weekend is shaping up to be a lovely one too!

Congratulations on all the rain. It's a shame it's so hot and sticky.
We had three good days of rain two weeks ago which was brilliant but nothing since and a heatwave that has undone all the good work the rain did. I hope we get some rain again soon.
Happy new year, Amanda,
Kate
Amanda I'll trade my snow for your rain!?! Your banana bread looks so yummy I can almost smell it!!

Tropical conditions.....rainforest living....does appeal to me right now :-)
We will be coming out of the deep freeze for a couple days. The forecast is for 50 on Monday. I'll believe when I feel it!!
Puzzles and cake....can life get any better than that?

Good Morning Amanda,
"CONGRATULATION'S" on getting the much needed rain. We have had plenty of rain here where I live, but parts of the Southeast has been in extreme drought this past year. It's always a good thing to do on a rainy day to watch movies and just spend some quality time together. We have a busy day here as well. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.
Love & Hugs,
Karen H.
A taste of the tropical sound good...although minus the rain, we've had plenty of that! Here in Norway it is snowing this weekend, it's really cold! Hot chocolate and a fire going--just the thing. But slice of your banana cake would be just the prefect extra...Happy weekend to you & yours ((HUGS))
Sounds like a good Saturday to me! :)
Happy New Year! LA
Tropical sounds kind of nice right now! Things are supposed to warm up for us starting tomorrow and a lot of rain is expected ... a typical January thaw! Wishing you and your family all the best for 2008! ~ ♥ Lynda xo
Getting ready to head off to breakfast with hubby and the banana bread makes me even hungrier!
I love the rain! We're supposed to get some rain today, too. We seldom get it here in Northern AZ and when we do it's such a blessing! Enjoy!

Hi Amanda,
I love it when it rains and it's still hot. That's what I miss most about the south. Sadly, in California it's typically cold when it rains. Ugghh...it's raining here and yup, it's cold! Enjoy that sultry weather for me :)
Hugs,
Dena
Enjoy your warm rain! It is cold rain here, ugh, I'll take yours any day!
Your banana bread looks yummy!

Hi Amanda...the Banana cake looks yummy! I still have banana bread and cranberry nut bread in the freezer from Christmas...I sliced it up before hand and I thaw out one piece at a time....

GOOD GRIEF..5 DAYS OF RAIN?? Amazing. If we had 5 straight days of rain, we would think the world was coming to an end! lol
The cake looks soooo yummy!

Hi Amanda!
Yummy! That cake sounds and looks soo good. I am glad you are having the rain you need. We had a drought here this past year in North Carolina too. At the end of the year we were still 13 inches below normal for rain fall.
I love rainy days and puzzles!

Huh? The weather is bad? What is this??? I checked in for the next part of your summer festivities. I'm bummed. Guess I need to gaze at my Jamaica pics. Love, Esther

Saw on the news that there is severe flooding in parts of SE Australia - hope you are on high ground and only have to deal with tropical heat/rain!
Stay safe - Mary.
