Who's who?

I was just walking by the lounge room window when I spotted these two love birds resting in our driveway and I thought to myself "hhhhmmmmm, I wonder who's who?" Is the one sitting down to rest the male or the female? Is he doing the bird version of sitting on the couch with the remote, watching tv, while the little lady potters around the nest/yard? Or is she the one popping her feet up (or under in this case) doing the bird version of stopping for an afternoon pick me up cuppa coffee and flicking through the pages of some fabulous magazine (like "Romantic Birdhouse" for instance) getting ideas on how to feather her nest a little differently, while hubby is doing some handyman jobs around the yard? So tell me, (no, not that I'm insane and need to be committed. We already know that.) but whom do you think is who here? Maybe I need to lay down under the air/con. I think I have heat stroke and am ever so slightly delusional..........again.

LOL...good question! It's getting to be "that time" of year again...maybe the little woman is taking a break while her man is trying to look busy?
What a cute post...you are funny! Inquiring minds....

It’s definitely the male sitting down….watching the cricket…..while the female potters around doing the daily chores!

Good Morning Amanda,
Oh my goodness, this is such a cute and funny post. I'm going to say that is the man sitting down while the woman is up and doing the womanly things. You know, a woman's work is never done they say. And who knows, maybe those are the kids? The Momma and Daddy may be off somewhere to have some time to themselves. LOL. Take care my friend and have a great evening. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Maybe it's two females and one has popped over for a cuppa coffee while the hostess goes to prepare it?

You're so adorable! What a cute post. I think the female is sitting down and playing coy. I think she is saying I'm bored with you, do a little dance or flap your wings a little for me to show me how strong and virile you are!

Love & Hugs, Sharon

I love your post. I think the one sitting is the wife, who needs the rest. I think the male is the one walking around, as his tail seems a tad longer. Most male birds have prettier coloring. I cannot tell a difference in color, but if the tail is longer, maybe it's a sign of more beauty or something. Cute post. Hugs, Kathi

I love that these birds stay together. I once saw a dove in the street and noticed that its mate had been hit by a car. He/she would not leave its side..it broke my heart. Have a great weekend. Susan

Oh, I love it!! LOL! Let me see now....I think it is the female sitting while sweet hubby struts around trying to impress with his hunting and gathering skills;)

Here we call them Mourning Doves...such a sad name for such beauties.

Enjoy your weekend!

Love ya,
Rhonda

I think it's the hubby sitting while the woman is strutting off the the dry cleaners, thinking about what to make for dinner, and did she help her little one complete the school project?? Hee-hee! Tara

Really, think about this. This is your typical picture - the dude sitting down and the gal still up rustling around. Plain and simple. Love, Esther
