It's home...

I'm so happy to hear that you all enjoyed our drive in the country. It was a lovely day to spend in a beautiful place. My husband was born and raised in the Australian Outback, and even though he's been in the big smoke of the city for a long time, he's still a country boy at heart. Over the years we've spent a lot of time back in the bush with his family, and while I have enjoyed every minute of it and their gorgeous inland country........this is where I am from. The golden beaches are as much a part of me as breathing. Sometimes when life is getting a little too hectic I take some time out to wander down here, sit in the sand dunes and just let the beauty around me get inside and fill me up. It refreshes me and makes me feel strong again.....and the air in my lungs feels sweet once more. It's home.

The beach is beautiful!! I would love to feel the breeze while reading a book, listening to the waves crash under a tree. Gee I don't want much do I? LOL!! You are a lucky girl!

I'm a beach lover and grew up near them also...although our California beaches are nothing like the magnificant pictures you've posted of yours.

One day, yes one day, I'll walk your beautiful shoreline and bask in the Australian sun for myself!

Oh, such a lucky girl!
What a beautiful place to call home.
We travel 8 hours to get to the beach; we go once or twice a year- it's worth the drive!
Have a lovely day-
Hugs,
Pam

Amanda, I know just what you mean. I grew up living near the ocean, and sometimes I just have to go soak it in again.

Your photos are just breathtaking.

Oh Amanda...you have the best of both worlds. Beautiful beaches and that gorgeous water....love it and I really enjoyed the country ride too. I would just love to visit. The yard sale and the antique shop looks so neat. Loved seeing the homes and the churches, all the pictures were great. Hugs, Linda

Your blue blue sky and ocean are so amazing. I guess I'd have to ask a scientist why ours is gray-blue and deep gray-blue, and many other shades of gray-blue. I do not know If I have truly ever seen our ocean truly blue. There must be a reason. Well, I love seeing yours. It makes me feel like I was really there. Hugs, Kathi

Oh, I love your beach!
I have a tape that plays the sounds of the ocean - often play that to hear while going to sleep. So very relaxing.
Here we have the mountains - and that is where I can get rejuvenated.
Enjoy your day.
Smiles.

Hi Amanda :)

Your beaches are so lovely. I know what you mean about loving it.

Thank you for being so understanding about the misunderstanding on my blog. I really did feel awful but in the end it's something I think deep down I wanted to say anyway ;)

off to read your other post....
