Here we go again!

Yes it's that time again......another bedroom make over is about to begin! This time I am going to do our main bedroom. Today I went and bought all the paint and necessary items for painting, did the groceries, then came home and gutted our bedroom. Geez things were just like peeling an onion, layer after layer. What I mean is as I was starting to empty the cupboards and draws I thought I may as well sort out what was worth saving and what I could donate. So that set me back a few hours, just in time to throw a roast in the oven and whip back into the bedroom to vacuum and start washing the walls. I moved some old furniture up to the shed/garage, made numerous runs out to the bin........then managed to have dinner ready to serve as my One True Love walked in the door from work. A quick clean up after dinner (thank goodness for dishwashers!!), then back to work filling any little holes in the walls from hooks etc with poly filler. My last job tonight will be sanding back ready for applying the first coat of under coat in the morning (Saturday). I'd like to get the undercoating done fairly early because then I have a heap of newly thrifted furniture to sand back and start undercoating that too. On Sunday I will paint on the top coats of paint to both the walls and furniture, ready to set the room up on Monday! I hope it all goes to plan. My house looks like WW2 just happened here with our bedroom furniture and clothes strewn all over, but I'm excited! I won't be around for a few days, but as soon as I can I will post pics of the make over and be around to visit with you all. Until then, I hope you have a wonderful weekend and a terrific start to the coming week! Love Amanda xxx

PS If you get a chance, would you please say a little prayer for my knee that it holds out since it's hurting a little still, and for my back...it's killing me!

Oh Sweetie, I know it's hard to hold you back, but are you sure you should being doing all that with the achy back and knee? We are stubborn ladies so I know you will do it anyway ....as would I! HA!

I will pray for your aches and will anxiously await the unveiling of your beautiful room!

How about if you remember to sit on a chair while you are painting the lower parts of walls and while you are sanding and painting the furniture?
And maybe your one true love will provide some back rubs?
I will provide some prayer for sure!

You take care ... and use wisdom and don't push yourself TOO hard.

Love!

Girl now take care of yourself as you whip this new decorating project into shape. It's always such a mess to do any painting but the outcome is always so wonderful and fresh. Can't wait to see the finished results.

Wow - you are a busy lady. But such wonderful things you are doing to decorate your home! I love it!

I'll definately pray for your knee and your back. Try to go a little easy for awhile. :) Previously I had surgery on my knee and it's no fun to have knee problems!

Smiles to you!

Saying little prayers for your poor little knee to feel better! Looking forward to your makeover! Can hardly wait! Be gentle on your knees while you are painting down low! Knee pads? Garden pads make great knees pads too!

Wow where do you get all the energy from? I am envious. Hope your knee holds out for you! Good luck with the room too.

You OK, dear heart?

When I don't hear from you I worry.

What do you do with the sugar soap?

Is it used before or after sanding?

I am fixing to re-do my children's farm (picnic) set.
