Normally I like to do a "Silent Sunday" post, but this week that has been flung out into the wind because I've been tagged for a "4 Things Tag" by Rosie from Rosie's Whimsy http://rosieswhimsy.wordpress.com/ Before I rattle off the answers (and you may need a strong coffee........ or something stronger, to stay awake while I prattle on about myself for just a tad) I thought I'd show you how nature is doing her own Christmas decorating in our front yard. It's lovely to spend time out here admiring her handiwork and how she's teemed the red, white and green together so beautifully. Isn't mother nature just awesome?! Ok, now on with the 4 things tag..............

Wow I just love those photos from your garden, the colours are so rich and yes christmassy!
Enjoyed reading your post and no wasnt bored at all :0)
Your garden is so pretty! I ran to my front window to look out into my West Texas yard to see if it was as pretty as yours....NOPE....slight ice, a tiny bit of snow and fallen leaves EVERY WHERE! Not a pretty site!!
Loved hearing a little about you thru your tag...thanks for sharing!
It's 34 degrees here this morning and I'm on my 3rd cup of hot coffee. I'll be wired, all day long!
hugs, bj
Fabulous......wonderful to see that fresh green this time of year.
My sister lived in Australia for 2 years back in the late 70's. Her husband was a naval officer. I'll have to ask where exactly she was. These details seem to just seep out of mind these days....
It is nice to know more about you:) I had a job as a childcare worker too and am returning to teaching next year when my son starts to school.
The temp here is 41 degrees and it is raining. The pictures of your garden look lovely and warm....just what I needed to see on this bleak winter day.
Enjoy your Sunday!
Rhonda
I'm still awake. LOL Love those pics and your 4 things.

Hi Amanda -- your garden is so lovely. It seems so odd to me to see such beautiful greenery and flowers when we have all browns here now!
Loved hearing more about you! Oh, and your Christmas decorations are so cute!
xoxo,

beautiful garden! How did you like being a nanny?
Good Morning Amanda - I found you via KJ and am just stopping by to tell you how much I'm enjoying your garden and Christmas photos. It's turning cold here and the leaves are falling rapidly - we raked a huge pile yesterday - good exercise!!
I love what you said about walking into the rooms and being thrilled by the decorations - I'd better start on mine soon as I want that feeling too!
Nice to meet you - best wishes for the Holiday season.
I enjoyed your post, and found it amusing that of all 4 jobs you've had, I have had all 4 of the same jobs myself (before my website!) Now I'm lucky if I have time to brush my teeth!
Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog, by the way!

Oh, yes, isn't it wonderful how nature displays such ever changing beauty? Thanks for sharing those photos.
And for the facts about you! Always fun to get to know everyone a tad bit better!
Ok, son is begging me to get off the computer, happy Sunday!

How pretty, a tropical Christmas- like jungle bells instead of Jingle bells!
I would give eye teeth to be in Australia :) I've never been out of the states with the exception of my honeymoon and then I was too young to appreciate it! Loved your post and your garden is so pretty!
Hugs,
Dena
Such a lovely peek into the life of Amanda! Thanks for sharing!
My brother in law and his wife live in Queensland...not sure the name of the town, though. I've seen pictures and it's just lovely! I know...road trip to Amanda's! *lol*

Hi Amanda,
I loved reading these things about you as it helps me know you a bit more. Your prawn and avocado salad sounds delish. Would you post the recipe sometime (I wonder if it is similar to mine!)

Oh what a difference a summer Christmas is...it is cold and wet here....no snow other than flurries so far. Thanks for sharing your pics. Dianntha

What pretty garden photos! We've had very cold temperatures here but no snow yet... it will come I am sure.
I love your lists! You were a nanny - what fun! I wished I had been one.
Good Evening Amanda,
Forgive me for not posting sooner, but today has been a busy day for me. I just love your flowers in your flower garden. They are absolutely Christmasy. I wish I had some flowers like that so I could grow them. I doubt they would grow in the climate I'm in tho. All of your Christmas decorations are beautiful as well. We have our tree up and I finally got my villages over here. I hope to get it up sometimes this week. It has been raining all day here and quite chilly too. I so want some snow so I can make some snow cream. Well, take care my friend and have a Blessed evening. May God Bless You and Yours.
Hugs,
Karen H.
I loved learning more about you! Boy, it is sure interesting seeing your yard with all the types of foliage you have! Soooo different from here in North Idaho! Love, Esther
