I know that my American and Canadian blogger friends will be celebrating Thanksgiving in the next couple of days, so I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your families a safe, happy and healthy Thanksgiving. I hope that where ever you are and whom ever you are with, that you have a wonderful time together with those you love most. Even though we don't celebrate Thanksgiving here in Australia, I too am so thankful for the many things in my life, that lots of you have expressed thanks for on your blogs. So here's to you all, and to friendship........Happy Thanksgiving dear friends!
Now I will continue plodding along with my promised Christmas decoration photo's postings. Today I thought I'd show you my new little Santa jars that I'm using to hold coffee & sugar, and my Christmas coffee mugs that we got while on holiday at the snow fields last Winter. I have recently realized that I've fallen head over heels in love with snowmen. I think they are just adorable! The little white sign in the first photo was a thrift store find today actually. After my 7.30am dental appointment for a cleaning and a filling, I decided to treat myself to a little wonder around my local thrift store. I no doubt looked quite a frightening sight, all swollen, lop-sided, numb and dribbling still, but the temptation to have a little peek was far too great to resist! The place is teeny tiny, as big as a postage stamp really, but they always have something wonderful hiding in their store. Not a bad score for $1.
Over the next few days I'll post more photo's of different Christmas decorations in and outside of our home. I hope you are enjoying a little tour of an Australian home all gussied up for Christmas, as much as I'm enjoying showing you! lol

Good Morning Amanda,
I love your snowmen decorations. They are just adorable. I went up to our local "Dollar General Store" last night to get some things for my cooking today and I noticed some snowmen plates and coffee cups also. They are reasonably priced also. If my budget allows me too, I may get some of them for the Christmas Holidays. Or, I can wait till after Christmas and get them half-priced. That way I will have them for next year. Thank you for the Thanksgiving wishes. That was so sweet of you. If you don't mind, stop by my blog when you have time, I have a picture for all my blogging friends to post on their sidebar. I would like for you to have it as well. Even though yall don't celebrate it there, you can still have it and feel like you are celebrating it. Take care my friend and I look forward to seeing your Australian Christmas decorations. May God Bless You and Yours.
Hugs,
Karen H.
Hi Amanda, How cheerful all your snowmen look! Yes, I'm starting to get ever-so-slightly in the mood for Christmas! Some years, I'd just rather pull the blankets over my head until spring! LOL

Oh, thank you, sweet lady, for your visit on Prom day! I had such fun posting that one!
I LOVE your little jars and cups. I can hardly wait to see the rest of your Christmas decorating. I make a promise to myself every year that I "won't do Christmas" until the day after Thanksgiving...that is when my tree and stockings "hung by the chimney with care" will come out.
Thanks again for your visit,
hugs, bj
Hello! Looking forward to your decorations, looks like you have a great start!
I still need to get through Thanksgiving, and that is no easy feat at my house! :-)
Happy Decorating (and Thanksgiving from the U.S.!)

Hi Amanda,
lop-sided and drooling...LOL! I get that way when I find a good deal for a $1 without a dentist! I just love your collection :)

My dear and sweet Amanda, just stopping by to say hi, and wish you a HAPPY THANKSGIVING.
Every new friend is a new door to a different world…. To be depressed is to be lonely; to have a friend is to be happy...
See you again soon.

How cute are all those snowmen, yes you are definitely getting a pretty good collection going there. We had snow here on Christmas day last year here in Victoria. Very strange for the middle of summer (I kid you not!!) Ended up drinking hot toddys in front of an open fire!
Thank you Amanda,
I am up putting on the Turkey right now, everyone is asleep but I have to get him in the oven early or we won't eat today.
I will send you my recipe for Yams later. Have a wonderful day and I loved your message to all of us out here in blog land. :) Bren
