School's Out!

Woo!Hoo! Today was Precious Princess' last day of school for the year! My little Angel is now officially on Summer vacation for the next 2 months! We're free! lol I don't know who is more excited about the holidays being here, her or me! Now we can put our noses to the grind stone and get some serious Christmas shopping and entertaining done. Long lazy Summer days spent floating around our pool, days at the beach...............Summer, sounds like Heaven to me.

I love school holidays too, spending time with my sweet girls. Mine still have a couple of weeks to go yet though with all the christmas concerts etc. Busy busy!

Good Morning Amanda,
Your little Angel is just adorable. Wow, it's Summer over there? I am so confused here. LOL. If it's Summer over there, how can it be Christmas as well? I'm sorry here, I just don't understand. Our girls still have about 2 weeks left of school until they are out for Christmas break. They usually get about 2 weeks off for that. Well, take care my friend and have a great Friday. May God Bless You and Yours.

Hugs,
Karen H.

I understand the whole "flip flop" of seasons things but it still sounds so funny to here you say it!

I always loved it when my kids got out of school for the summer......but I was usually ready for them to go back , too :-)

It must be wonderful for her to be on Vacation for the Christmas Holiday...our kids get a week off maybe....it's just not enough time..especially for travel! I hope you enjoy her. I love the kitty under the tree too...my cats have been permanently parked there since we put it up last week.

So you have Christmas and summer holidays at the same time?! Sounds so strange to those of us here in the Northern Hemisphere!! We have winter here, and tonight they are calling for a winter storm warning. So enjoy your summer. Maybe I'll live vicariously through you for a couple of months!!!

Ohhhhh, I am so envious of your sunshine. We are under a winter storm alert - snow and freezing rain! yuck!!! Today my oldest daughter and I made some chocolates for Christmas giving. It was a nice way to spend the day given the weather outside!

Freezing rain tonight and 2 inches of snow...It does look like Christmas but floating in the pool sounds wonderful. I never thought of summer vacation at Christmas time....it sounds so different! I enjoy your posts. Dianntha

Hi Amanda! This is Amity from FIAR- I just wanted to comment on your angel. My aunt is very good friends with the creator! His aunt has helped her packaging and home shows of her angels- I have several autographed ones- and some with my children's names right on them! His aunt has several originals from before she sold her patent to Hallmark. It's kind of exciting to see how far they have traveled! Would it be okay to send a link of your blog to my aunt. She really loves Carol (the creator) and she is very nice woman too!

Hello from very cold Rochester, NY, USA. I am the artist who created your Kneeded Angel holding the butterfly. I feel thrilled and honored that she is displayed here. In the past six years my angels, Santas, dolls, and cutesy animals have been sold in 3,000 gift shops in the USA and the UK and Australia. I say that with so much pride because my story is a Cinderella Story. Never give up a vision, a wish, or a goal. I was 57 yrs. old and was supporting myself by selling my figurines at art and craft shows for 27 years starting as a hobby, part time, full time and a career. They are all originally made from sliced, decrusted white sandwhich bread mixed with white glue with the look of porcelain. The dough is pushed through a garlic press to form the hair styles. Water colors are mixed with the dough and hand painted faces, and then air-dried. I went from making catipillers to butterflies! Warmly, Carol A. Graziano

I think all of us in the U.S. should go to Australia for summer! I never realized before I started blogging that you have summer when we have winter. It makes sense but I never really thought of it before.
